I’ve installed Xgl on my desktop (Ubuntu Development Branch – Dapper 6.04) and it is sweet! Check out some screenshots here.

    Now linux can have the worthless eyecandy of Mac OSX after XP has already ported such worthless features. :)

    Really, I don’t understand why developers waste time on such things. The only one of those 4 features that is even remotely useful is the “desktop organization” feature. And even then, it’s only a revision of the “tile windows” function that has been around since Windows 3.1 (possibly earlier).
